STEM Education is a PNG Government agenda that aims to address quality education and improve education standards. The development of the STEM Resource Textbooks is an integrated STEM approach to embrace effective implementation of the SBC curriculum and raise education standards to be competitive on the global economy. Papua New Guinea through political direction just begun the STEM agenda in 2020 or earlier with the belief that STEM skills are crucial to innovation and development in our contemporary economy since STEM is being positioned so centrally to a country’s competitiveness. Our education system needs to be transformed to produce a generation with creative minds who will be creators of new technologies, inventors, real-world problem solvers, innovators to be competitive on the global economy. Government and private organizations worldwide have drawn attention to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning problem or the STEM agenda and how to improve STEM Learning. A country needs a workforce with STEM skills to drive economic prosperity. Government and industry should partner to provide support for improvement in STEM education, but this raises the question of where to invest in programs to stimulate change.PNG current STEM policies should encapsulate the complex context related to STEM learning and focus on student outcomes, the teacher workforce and the curriculum. A strong, comprehensive, and equitable STEM education is required. There are concerns that we do not have sufficient teachers who are qualified to teach STEM subjects. Based on those challenges, STEM Educational Resources and Training main aim is to design STEM educational resources and deliver STEM education training, empowering educators and learners alike.  Our mission is to inspire the next generation of problem solvers and critical thinkers through high-quality, innovative programs.  We are driven by a commitment to innovation.
